Zach Costello
Zach Costello is the founder, owner, and principal broker of Stello Homes. Zach’s career in real estate started at Jimmy Johns. After having played four years of college baseball at both University of Delaware and Radford University, Zach graduated with a BA in Finance and started a business with family franchising multiple Jimmy Johns locations in Northern Virginia. Things stalled in 2016, and with a young family of five and making little money trying to get a business started, it was decided that in order to grow the company a pivot in a different direction was needed, so Zach got his real estate license and began his real estate career out of necessity.
Though money was tight, opening multiple restaurants from scratch, learning to build and lead a team, and serve customers while being supported with strong training and systems from the Jimmy Johns brand proved to be invaluable experience. Zach has taken that systems-oriented approach to running a business and serving customers and has baked it into how Stello Homes operates, and it has proven to give customers a consistent, smooth, and efficient service experience that has lead to great relationships with customers and a thriving referral based business. Zach has received multiple real estate awards for both his production and service levels including NVAR Top Producer, RE/MAX Top 100 Agents in Virginia, RE/MAX Platinum Producer, NOVA Real Producers Top 100 Agents in Northern Virginia, and NOVA Magazine Top Producers. However, what has really separated Zach and Stello Homes from other agents is his experience and knowledge of homes. Having gained project management experience building out Jimmy Johns locations and flipping houses, in order to increase his value and level of service to his clients Zach obtained a Residential Building Contractors (RBC) license in 2018 and founded Stello Homes Design Build LLC, an affiliate of Stello Homes. This has allowed Zach to offer a level of service that other typical real estate agents simply cannot offer their clients. Pre-listing improvements so that you can sell for more, or post-purchase kitchens, bathrooms, basements, etc. to create the spaces you want, this service offering is why Zach and Stello Homes are quickly becoming the most valuable real estate service in Virginia, and beyond.
Zach lives in Centreville, Virginia with his wife Casey and their five kids: Landon, Cooper, Evelyn, Kolbe, and Jude. He was born in Fairfax, Virginia and has been a proud Northern Virginia resident for his entire life. When Zach is not serving customers or building Stello Homes he loves to hang out with friends, enjoy family time, read and write, watch baseball, and think about and debate the best way to live.
